Matthew Bourne's Lord Of The Flies in London

Matthew Bourne's New Adventures company has produced some of most successful dance theatre productions of the last 25 years including Swan Lake, Nutcracker!, Cinderella and last year's sell-out hit Sleeping Beauty.

With a cast of New Adventures dancers and remarkable young talent from across the UK, the characters from William Golding's unforgettable novel are brought to life with raw energy, emotional intensity and breathtaking performances. Chilling, beautiful and hugely entertaining, Lord Of The Flies will enthral Bourne fans and inspire a generation of new audiences.

The company brings to the stage a thrilling new dance production of Golding's classic exploration of human nature. The action is transferred from a desert island to deserted theatre, where a group of schoolboys find themselves abandoned. With no adults around they start  to make their own rules and create their own civilisation, before order breaks down and the story builds to an electrifying climax.

Another brilliant Matthew Bourne production

We were blown away by the latest Matthew Bourne production of Lord of the Flies. The dancing was superb although very difficult to see those super taught athletic bodies in school boy uniforms. It was quite a dark performance but that was the nature of the story. I think it would definitely be an advantage to know the story line before watching the show.
