Now the longest-running show at the Aldwych Theatre, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical immerses you in the inspiring story of her career which spun over seven decades.
Why you should see Tina: The Tina Turner Musical
- This musical is jam-packed with powerful performances, breathtaking vocals, and dynamic staging.
- One of the biggest music icons, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical perfectly captures the essence of Tina Turner's resilience and talent.
- Tina herself was involved in the creative process of the show resulting in a very accurate retelling of Tina Turner's life.
About Tina: The Tina Turner Musical
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical chronicles the remarkable life of Tina Turner, from her humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her rise to superstardom as the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. The musical follows Tina's journey as she overcomes immense challenges, including an abusive relationship and professional setbacks, to emerge as a global icon. The show also features 23 songs from Tina's best-selling discography including 'What's Love Got To Do With It', 'Proud Mary' and 'River Deep Mountain High'.
Along with Turner, whose music and lyrics will form the foundations of TINA, the creative team also comprises of award-winning playwright Katori Hall, whose last West End play, The Mountaintop won her the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2010, and director Phyllida Lloyd. Lloyd’s last West End directing credit is none other than the ultimate jukebox musical, Mamma Mia!, which still plays to this day next door to TINA at the Novello Theatre. Lloyd also directed the film version, starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. She returns to the West End with a number of the creative team that helped make Mamma Mia! a worldwide smash, including choreographer, Anthony van Laast, designer Mark Thompson and musical supervisor Nicholas Skilbeck.
Tina: The Tina Turner Musical enables you to witness the journey Turner undertook from her humble beginnings to international stardom which will leave you feeling uplifted and energised by her indomitable spirit and timeless music.

The best show I have seen! Absolutely incredible!WOW, I saw the show last night and it is just amazing! All the actors were brilliant, but the lead Tina was just mind-blowing! Her voice just blew the roof off. I was on an emotional rollercoaster throughout following the story, ending on a massive high! The whole theatre evidently loved the show as much as I did with everyone one their feet at the end. I almost had jaw ache from the enormous smiling! If you get the opportunity to see the Tina show - grab it! This is 'Simply the Best'show out there! If I could go back again today I would be there in a flash!

Tina the musical is amazing. It’s a must see if you like Tina Turners music . I have seen this show 7 times now visiting with different members of my family. I would advise people who attend this show not to clap along or sing out loud when the theater had asked that people don’t . Untill the end when invited to stand up and join in with singing along with the cast . This happened on my 7 th visit and it is so annoying.

A pleasant show, with a super endingHad a lovely evening out in London last Saturday. The first half of the show was a little slow, but it picked up the pace in the second half. The acting was very good, particularly from the girl who plays Tina as a child. A true star in the making 🤩 My only criticism was the actress who played Tina. Her acting was superb but when she sang the vocals to the songs who required more zest, she appears to be slightly shouting, which spoilt it a little. Overall, it was a good show. I loved the way it ended. As if you were at the concert itself.
