Written by David Hare and directed by Jeremy Herrin, Grace Pervades tells the story of Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, two of the greatest theatre stars of the Victorian age. It follows their extraordinary stage careers as the theatre world evolved around them, their professional relationship that blossomed into an affair, and the contributions to the changing face of theatre by Ellen's troubled children, Edith Craig and Edward Gordon Craig. It has been praised as a “wry and elegant love letter to theatre” by the Guardian
Ralph Fiennes (Conclave, Harry Potter, James Bond) and Miranda Raison (Spooks, Ann Boleyn, The Winter's Tale) reprise their roles as Henry Irving and Ellen Terry, with Ruby Ashbourne Serkis and Jordan Metcalfe returning as Edith and Edward. The cast is completed by Youness Bouzinab, Giulia Innocenti, Tom Kanji, Harriet Leitch, Guy Paul, Chris Porter, Maggie Service, Saskia Strallen and Kathryn Wilder with Katherine Liley and Sam Perry.
Grace Pervades will open on 24th April and run for a limited season until 11th July 2026.
