Full casting and production images have been released for Jordan Waller's critically acclaimed new comedy, A Role to Die For, directed by Olivier Award winner Derek Bond. In this razor-sharp, searingly entertaining comedy about identity and legacy, Deborah is about to announce the new star of the world's most famous spy franchise, but her chosen actor has been caught in a terrible scandal. Now the clock is ticking, and she must decide whether to stick with the formula she's been given, or go against the grain and select a new star.

Tanya Franks (EastEnders, Pulling, Broadchurch) stars as Deborah, with Obioma Ugoala (Hamilton, Frozen, The Book Thief) as Theo, and Philip Bretherton (As Time Goes By, The Final Cut) and Harry Goodson-Bevan (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Saturday Night Fever) reprising their roles as Malcolm and Quinn.

The show first premiered at the Barn Theatre to widespread praise and critical acclaim, called “a real five-star blockbuster” by Wilts and Glos Standard. Now it transfers to the Marylebone Theatre for its London premiere. In the new production photos, we can see hints of the show's tongue-in-cheek satire in the photos of old James Bond actors on the wall behind the cast, who promise to bring the full range of their comedic talent in a theatrical experience that will delight London audiences.

Director Derek Bond said, “It’s such a joy to return to this play with such a talented cast – Tanya is the perfect addition to a company already bursting with comic timing and chemistry.”

A Role to Die For will be playing at the Marylebone Theatre until August 30th.
