Dressed as the emblem of the publisher Penguin, in a tailcoat, orange flippers, and not much else, he delivers a frenetic series of comedic skits that aim to recreate and perform every Penguin Classics novel ever published. From The Little Prince to Moby Dick, Starr lampoons and parodies every famous piece of literature that you know, love, hate, and studied in school, with his characteristic outrageous wit and sarcasm.
After first delighting audiences at Edinburgh Fringe, Garry Starr returns with the one-man-show that promises to save books from extinction in a unique, one-of-a-kind literary adventure that tackles classic literature as you've never experienced it before. Starr, who's been described by the Scotsman as 'a very funny man who is peculiarly averse to wearing trousers', is known for comedy shows like Garry Starr Performs Everything, where he whizzed through performing every style of theatre imaginable.
