Just For One Day is heading to the West End in 2025.
Written by best-selling author John O'Farrell (Mrs Doubtfire The Musical) and directed by Luke Sheppard (The Little Big Things), the musical will begin performances on 15 May at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
Inspired by the Live Aid event, Just For One Day tells the story of how 70 of the biggest names in music during that time performed for free in London and Philadelphia to raise money for famine relief. Featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, David Bowie, The Who, U2, Queen and more; Just For One Day opened to critical acclaim during its run at The Old Vic in early 2024. The musical became the theatre's fastest-selling musical ever.
Craig Els will reprise his performance as Bob. Further casting is to be announced.
Just For One Day will open at the Shaftesbury Theatre on 15 May 2025, following on from Mrs Doubtfire The Musical which plays its final performance on 26 April 2025.
