Cast and creatives announced for THE WOMEN OF LLANRUMNEY at Stratford East Theatre

Azuka Ororka's award-winning, acclaimed historical drama will return to the stage this spring with runs announced in London and Cardiff.

The cast and creative team have been announced for The Women of Llanrumney.

The powerful historical drama delves into the lives of women connected to the Llanrumney plantation in 18th-century colonial Jamacia.

Sherman Theatre Associate Artist Patricia Logue directs Matthew Gravelle (Hinterland, Fiction Factory/BBC4) as Simon Taylor, Tommy Flynn and Mr Ainsworth, Shvorne Marks (Beautiful Thing, Stratford East/Leeds Playhouse/HOME Manchester) as Cerys, Suzanne Packer (The Night Caller, Channel 5) as Annie and Nia Roberts (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sherman Theatre) as Elizabeth.

The creative team for The Women of Llanrumney includes Set & Costume Designer Stella-Jane Odoemelam, Lighting Designer Andy Pike, Composer Takisha Sargeant, and Sound Designer Ian Barnard.

The Women of Llanrumney will run at Stratford East from 19 March - 12 April 2025 before returning to Sherman Theatre from 26 April - 10 May 2025.
