The Heartstopper star will make his West End debut in a limited run of critically acclaimed writer Samuel D. Hunter's new play at the Trafalgar Theatre, which begins performances later this month at the Trafalgar Theatre.

Joe Locke stars alongside Ruaridh Mollica (BIFA nominated for Sebastian, HBO) with Sophie Melville (Cowbois, RSC/ Royal Court) in this witty and heartrending new play that follows the story of two lonely young men who form an unlikely connection in the Costco of a small American town. It's a story about friendship, acceptance, love and the hope of new discoveries.
Clarkston premiered in 2018 at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in New York, NY. Now it heads to the UK in an exciting production directed by Drama Desk and Obie award-winner Jack Serio this autumn for a 9-week run.
The creative team also includes set and costume designer Milla Clarke, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer George Dennis, casting director Stuart Burt and dramaturg John Baker. Clarkston will be executive produced and general managed by Wessex Grove.
Clarkston will play at the Trafalgar Theatre from 17 September 2025.
