Following its 2024 debut, Sydney Theatre Company's acclaimed production will be adapted and directed by visionary theatre-maker Kip Williams, who also staged an explosive production of The Picture of Dorian Gray in 2024, starring Sarah Snook. That production at the Theatre Royal Haymarket won two Olivier Awards.
Dracula will see Cynthia Erivo embody all 23 roles. This bold retelling reconstructs the narrative around a psychological battle between fear and desire. This will be executed by combining live video, prerecorded film, and live performance.
The production reunites Williams with his award-winning creative team, including Olivier Award-winning designer Marg Horwell, lighting designer Nick Schlieper, composer Clemence Williams, and joined by sound designer Jessica Dunn, video designer Craig Wilkinson, and dramaturg Zahra Newman.
Dracula will play at the Noel Coward Theatre from 4 February to 30 May 2026.
