What is FOR TONIGHT about?
FOR TONIGHT is an original musical inspired by true events. Writer Spencer William used his third great-grandfather's handwritten journal to create this unique show. The musical is a timeless love story set in the mid-1800s in North Wales.
The story begins in Trelawnyd, a small town in North Wales at the Parry farm. This is a place where a Romani family has found shelter and friendship. Soon after their arrival, an unknown disease causes tragedy on the farm. The blame is put on the Romani travellers who are forced to flee and the three Parry children, Tomos, Haydn and Nettie, are forced to grow up fast after losing their parents.
The three children's lives go on twists and turns along different paths but it's fate that reunites them with the traveller community from their past. They'll encounter love, joy and friendship as well as pain, prejudice, and struggle. FOR TONIGHT explores the power and the universal meaning of home.
