Full cast announced for OTHELLO at Theatre Royal Haymarket

Directed by Tony Award-winner Tom Morris, this highly anticipated new West End production of Shakespeare's tragedy Othello is set to be one of the must-see theatre shows in London this autumn, opening next month.

The production will be led by David Harewood as Othello, Toby Jones as Iago, Caitlin FitzGerald as Desdemona, Vinette Robinson as Emilia and Luke Treadaway as Cassio.

The West End cast is completed by David Ahmad (Gratiano), Gethin Alderman (Nicos, Understudy Roderigo and Lodovico), Ewan Black (Montano, Understudy Iago and Fight Captain), Tom Byrne (Roderigo), Jonathan Cobb (Telemachos, Understudy Cassio, Montano and Memet), Peter Guinness (Brabantio), Felix Hayes (Duke of Venice), Jasmin Hinds (Julio/Julia, Understudy Emilia, Bianca and Nicos), Wela Mbusi (Memet, Marcus and Understudy Othello and Telemachos), Jude Owusu (Lodovico), Tom Peters (Vincenzio and Understudy Brabantio, Duke of Venice and Gratiano) and Rose Riley (Bianca and Understudy Desdemona).

Othello is an epic story of manipulation, jealously, and toxic masculinity that explores the darker side of power, rage, and desire. It's the first of a series of contemporary Shakespeare productions created by Morris for Chris Harper Productions that will be staged in the West End over the next five years.

With music by PJ Harvey, the creative team consists of Ti Green (Designer), Jon Nicholls (Sound Design and Additional Music), Richard Howell (Lighting Design), Anna Cooper CDG (Casting), Dominic Skinner (Make-up Design), Suzanne Scotcher (Hair & Wigs Design), Katie Henry (Associate Director), Bethan James (Assistant Director), Laila Diallo (Movement Director), Sabia Smith (Costume Supervisor), Mariama Bojang (Assistant Costume Designer), Sheena Linden (Company Manager), Damian Partington (Production Manager) and Samantha Adams (Dramatherapist).

Othello will play at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 23 October 2025 to 17 January 2026. It will follow the West End transfer of Til The Stars Come Down that will run from 1 July - 27 September 2025.
