THE SMEDS AND THE SMOOS announces limited run in the West End

The Olivier Award-nominated live stage production of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's classic picture book will capture young audiences next summer.

The Smeds and The Smoos will run at the Lyric Theatre next summer.
Brought to the stage by acclaimed theatre company Tall Stories, they are renowned for their joyful and fun-filled productions for families. Their stage adaptation of popular children's books has taken them across the globe.
The Smeds and The Smoos follows the story of two alien clans, the red Smeds and the blue Smoos, who dislike one another. However, when a young Janet (a Smed) and Bill (a Smoo) form an unlikely friendship and fall in love, it challenges their families' prejudices.

Room on the Broom and The Smartest Giant in Town are two more books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler which have been adapted into wonderful theatre shows for families in London.
The Smeds and The Smoos will play at the Lyric Theatre from 18 July - 7 September 2025.
