The intimate, sensory, labyrinthine journey guided by light and sound celebrates two decades of Punchdrunk's immersive practice. It's now extending until the Winter!

Viola's Room will now be playing until 3 November 2024.
Written by Booker Prize-shortlisted author Daisy Johnson, Viola's Room invites participants to go barefoot and wear headphones as they navigate through a maze-like installation in small groups of up to six. Guided by an unseen narrator, they embark on a sensory journey that gradually reveals a story of innocence lost and obsession unleashed.
The production is conceived, directed and designed by Artistic Director Felix Barrett, with co-direction by Associate Director Hector Harkness (One Night, Long Ago; The Third Day) and design by Casey Jay Andrews, who was part of the design team on The Burnt City. Working with Punchdrunk for the first time are Lighting Designer Simon Wilkinson (Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Vanishing Point’s Metamorphosis), and Sound Designer Gareth Fry (Complicité’s The Encounter; V&A’s David Bowie Is, Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser and Diva exhibitions).
You can catch Viola's Room at Punchdrunk's home of One Cartridge Place, Woolwich.
