New Shows at the Young Vic Announced Amidst Speculation About their New Artistic Director

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof The Young Vic Theatre in Waterloo have just announced a really exciting line up of theatre for the next year as appropriate to their status as one of London’s major Off West End venues, with a formidable track record.

This is the final season with their current Artistic Director, David Lan in charge. The venue has recently recruited a new leader (tba).

The forthcoming productions include two helmed by Stephen Daldry, a formidable international talent who ran The Royal Court for a while and directed British and New York Theatre’s mega-hits An Inspector Calls and Billy Elliot. He’s had a busy Hollywood and TV career too (notably directing The Hours with Nicole Kidman and The Crown for Netflix) This has led to speculation that he could be the Young Vic’s new boss which would be very exciting indeed!

Their Production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Sienna Miller and Jack O’Connell is about to open in the West End and if recently released photographs are anything to go by it’s going to be very steamy indeed.
