Bitter Lemons will run at the Park Theatre from 27 August - 14 September.
Written and directed by Lucy Hayes, Bitter Lemons is an explosive and humorous play that tackles the pressures on women’s bodies and the power society holds over them. Through the parallel lives of two ambitious women from different worlds, this play challenges the misunderstood and heavily politicised narratives that surround abortion and women’s access to it.
The cast includes Shannon Hayes (The Lonely Londoners, Jermyn Street Theatre) and Chanel Waddock (Hamlet, National Theatre). Bitter Lemons will share honest conversations as both women fall pregnant and undergo abortions.

Hailed by The Stage as "fiery new writing..white-knuckle ride", Bitter Lemons will explore the complexities surrounding societal judgements and personal conflict when lives shift unexpectedly.
