About High Society
This dazzling, witty musical follows glamourous socialite Tracy Lord from Oyster Bay, who is set to wed an equally pretentious executive. Planning is underway for this dazzling high society wedding, but preparations soon descend into chaos when Tracy's ex-husband arrives on the scene. Old flames and new flames clash for Tracy's favour while an eagle-eyed tabloid reporter hunts for a whiff of scandal on this sprawling waterfront estate. It features some of the biggest hits from American composer and songwriter Cole Porter's songbook including 'Just One Of Those Things', 'Let's Misbehave', 'I Love Paris', 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?', and many more.
The creative team
High Society features music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Arthur Kopit, and is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Anthony Van Laast and musical supervision by Stephen Ridley, who will lead a full orchestra. Also on the creative team are set designer Tom Rogers, sound designer Adam Fisher, lighting designer Howard Hudson, costume designer Jon Morrell and wigs designer Helen Keane.
