Cast announced for LOVE'S LABOURS LOST at Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare's Globe has announced the cast and creative team of Love's Labours Lost, opening at the Globe Theatre in July.

In one of Shakespeare's earliest plays, and possibly his first comedy, the King of Navarre and his lords vow to devote themselves to their studies for three years and avoid the company of women. But their commitment is tested when the Princess of France and her ladies arrive in Navarre for a diplomatic visit. Vows are broken and hearts are ignited as these two groups come together in a battle of wits and desire, for a story about love and connection. Will love emerge triumphant?

This rarely-performed comedy, now with a flamenco-inspired twist, is directed by Globe Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins in her Globe directorial debut. It stars Daniel Abbott as Mozo de Espadas, Suzanne Ahmet as Katherine/Nathaniela, Philip Arditti as Berowne, Zannie Benfield as Marcadé, Ned Costello as King of Navarre, Andro Crespo as Don Adriano de Armado, Daniel Crossley as Boyet/Anthony Dull, Jax Guerrero as Dumaine/Moth, Joshua Hill as Costard, Philip Labey as Longaville, Jimena Larraguivel as Jaquenetta, Norah Lopez Holden as Princess, Bea Segura as Rosaline, and Katy Stephens as Maria/Holofernes. The production will also feature will feature flamenco dancers Pablo Egea and Anita La Maltesa, and flamenco singer Carlos Lobo Cordón alongside the cast.

The creative team includes Nell Bailey as Associate Director, Michael McMahon and Adrian Sola as the co-Composers, Katie Lias as Designer, and Carmen Igarza as Movement Director and Choreographer, with Voice & Text by Adam Wallis.

Love's Labours Lost will run at the Globe Theatre from 17 July to 13 September 2026.
