In one of Shakespeare's earliest plays, and possibly his first comedy, the King of Navarre and his lords vow to devote themselves to their studies for three years and avoid the company of women. But their commitment is tested when the Princess of France and her ladies arrive in Navarre for a diplomatic visit. Vows are broken and hearts are ignited as these two groups come together in a battle of wits and desire, for a story about love and connection. Will love emerge triumphant?

Shakespeare's rarely performed comedy returns to the stage in this energetic, flamenco-inspired production which reimagines this hidden gem as you've never seen it before. Filled with wordplay, poetry, and jokes, it's best remembered for its infamous ending, and the rumours it gave birth to about a possible now-lost sequel. In her Globe Theatre directing debut, Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins (former Globe Resident Artist, JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water, Orange Tree Theatre) draws inspiration from her Spanish roots to give this upbeat staging a touch of flair.
