Casting announced for PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL

Casting has been announced for the upcoming UK tour of Pretty Woman: The Musical, which opens at the New Wimbledon Theatre next year.

The cast is led by Molly Rainford (best known for BBC's EastEnders and CBBC's Nova Jones) in her stage debut as Vivian Ward, Danny Walters (also known for BBC's EastEnders) as Edward Lewis, and Bernadette Bangura (who recently played Becky in the UK and Ireland tour of Waitress) as Kit De Luca.

They are joined by Selena Barron, Jabari Braham, Jack Campbell, Cletus Chan, Josh Crowther, Sophie Cullen, Benjamin Dawson, Sian Gentle Green, Rebecca Ibbott, Kai Cameron Jay, Callum Martin, Brogan McFarlane, LJ Neilson, Matthew Prime, Alana M Robinson, Roshaan Saulnier, Morgan Scott, Ellie Seaton, Sario Solomon, Tomas Wolstenholme and Tara Yasmin. Based on the 1990 romantic comedy film starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, Pretty Woman tells the story of wealthy businessman Edward Lewis and free-spirited LA prostitute Vivian Ward. When Edward hires Vivian to be his escort for seven days and nights while he's in the city, they start off butting heads but soon find themselves falling in love.

The musical adaptation of this iconic rom com features a book by Garry Marshall and J.F. Lawton, the film's original director and screenwriter, with direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray) and an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.

The creative team includes scenic design by David Rockwell, costumes by Tom Rogers from the original Broadway designs by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke.

Pretty Woman: The Musical will open its tour at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 10 March 2027.
