Casting announced for UK and Ireland tour of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN

The cast has been announced for for the UK and Ireland tour of the Chichester Festival Theatre, Stage Entertainment and Sheffield Theatres smash-hit production of Singin' in the Rain, which will have a summer season at London's Sadler's Wells in 2027.

Natalie Anderson (best known as Alice Metcalfe in ITV's Emmerdale, and for ITV's Coronation Street and Netflix's Fool Me Once) and Karen Hauer (professional Latin dance specialist and World Mambo Champion, best known for appearing on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing) will share the role of Lina Lamont, with Grant Almirall (who previously played Don Lockwood in several international tours, with other theatre credits including Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys and Ken in Dalliances) as Don Lockwood, Nicole-Lily Baisden (Dale Tremont in the UK tour of Top Hat, Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street) as Kathy Seldon, Matthew Maddison (returning to the role of Cosmo Brown after touring China with the production) as Cosmo Brown and Wendi Peters (best known as Cilla Battersby Brown in ITV’s Coronation Street, as well as series regular Cook Jenkins in CBBC’s Hetty Feather) as Dora Bailey.

The company is completed by Charlie Bishop, Grace Chan, Ross Chisari, Stan Doughty, Barry Drummond, William Elijah-Lewis, Maria Garrett, Alyn Hawke, Megan Jade-Johnson, Ellis Linford-Pill, Jeremy Lloyd, Brontë Macmillan, Chloe Malek, Greta McKinnon, Melissa Mese, Ben Middleton, Grace May Parry, Roan Pronk, Elly Shaw, Jack Skelton and Catrin Thomas.

Based on the classic 1952 MGM musical comedy, Singin' in the Rain is set in the 1920s, during the transition from silent film to talkies, a period of major upheaval in the film industry. Don Lockwood, the reigning king of silent film, and his bubble-brained diva scene partner Lina Lamont are Hollywood's golden couple, or at least that's what the press believes. When the studio decides that their next big film should be a talkie, the duo finds their world flipped upside down.

It features a screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, with songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed and is performed by arrangement with Music Theatre International. Jonathan Church directs, with choreography by Andrew Wright.

Singin' in the Rain will begin its tour at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley from 28 January to 6 February 2027, followed by a summer season at Sadler’s Wells from 2 June to 3 July 2027.
