This May, the next instalment of its hugely popular fundraising comedy spectacular returns to the Park Theatre in its most ambitious form yet.

whodunnit [unrehearsed] 4 castEmma Thompson, Hugh Bonneville, Sandi Toksvig and Sir Ian McKellen. Headshots provided by production.

Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 4 transforms the theatre into the fully immersive Wild West town of Graveside. This time it will take over the entire building for the first time, from the street outside to the bars, foyer, and both auditoriums.

A vital fundraiser for Park Theatre, proceeds from the production go directly to support the running of the building, the development of new work, and the theatre’s extensive community and education programmes.

Celebrity guest sheriffs Gillian Anderson, Emma Thompson, Adrian Dunbar, Jim Broadbent, Sandi Toksvig, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Hugh Bonneville (Shadowlands) will star during the run, with many more star names to be announced.

Their role, the Sheriff, is completely unrehearsed. Armed with only an earpiece feeding them lines moments before they speak, each guest must attempt to solve the murder, survive the mayhem and keep the show on track, while the audience watches events spiral in gloriously unpredictable ways. Sir Ian McKellen will also return to lend his voice to the chaos.

Accompanying the celebrity guest sheriffs in the cast will be Toby Baddeley (The Rivals) as ‘Buck Steed’, Caroline Deverill (Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 3) as ‘Dawn Frencham’, Gabriel Fogarty-Graveson (The Co-op, Park Theatre) as 'Jim Ranson', Iona Fraser (The Play That Goes Wrong, Duchess Theatre) as ‘Verity Hargreaves’, Edward Kaye makes his London theatre debut as 'James Early', Matthew Romain (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Ambassadors Theatre) as 'Rev. Virgil', and Susanna Wolff (Everyone's a Playwright, Alexandra Palace Theatre) as 'Meg Frencham'.

Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 4 will also feature a community chorus who will roam the building throughout the evening and will interact with audiences who can also become involved in the production, alongside a themed drink selection on offer.

It will run from 11 May - 27 June 2026.
