Full cast announced for COW | DEER at Royal Court Theatre

The one-of-a-kind collaboration between Katie Mitchell, Nina Segal, and Melanie Wilson will be a major international co-production with the National Theatre of Greece. it plays at the Royal Court's Jerwood Theatre Upstairs for a limited run starting in September.

Cow | Deer is a brand-new experiment in performance that will radically decentre humans in an exploration of our relationship to animals and the environment.

The cast features Pandora Colin (Abigail's Party, Stratford East), Tom Espiner (Boys On The Verge Of Tears, Soho Theatre), Tatenda Matsvai (Dark Matter), and Ruth Sullivan (My Sister's Bones).

Wind in tall trees. White sky. Rain soon. Hooves on earth. Twigs. Snap. Wait. Listen. Cow | Deer is an invitation to enter the more-than-human world where a quartet of performers and foley artists evoke the lives of two animals – a cow and a deer.

The design for the production is by Alex Eales, lighting design is by Prema Mehta and casting is by Saffeya Shebli.

Cow | Deer will play at the Royal Court Theatre from 4 September to 11 October 2025.
