Bram Stoker's horror is given a comic makeover with Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors. Performances begin at the Menier Chocolate Factory on the 8 March.
The 90-minute production is a whirlwind, gender-bending reimagining that introduces a Gen Z pansexual Count Dracula grappling with an existential crisis. With a cast of five seamlessly switching costumes and roles, the show delivers a fast-paced comedic style reminiscent of Charles Ludlam, Monty Python, and Mel Brooks.
Directed by Gordan Greenberg, the creative team includes Set Design by Tijana Bjelajac, Costume Design by Tristan Raines, Lighting Design by Ben Cracknell and Sound Design by Yvonne Gilbert. The cast will be announced soon.
Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors will play at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 8 March to 3 May 2025.
