The musical, adapted from the popular 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, will return to the West End after two successful runs at the Dominion Theatre and a record-breaking holiday run at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway.

Elf The Musical will play at the Aldwych Theatre (where Tina- The Tina Turner Musical currently plays) for a limited 10-week season, kicking off performances on 28 October 2025. The production will feature a brand new set, adapted for the dimensions of that theatre.
The story follows Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole, who sets off to New York City to find his real father and discover his true identity. Along the way, his childlike cheer and love of Christmas transform the lives of everyone he meets.
Elf The Musical has a book by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan (The Producers) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), with songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).
The run at Aldwych Theatre will be directed by Philip Wm McKinley, with choreography by Liam Steel, set and costume design by Tim Goodchild, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound design by Gareth Owen, and video design by Ian William Galloway. Casting will be by Grindrod Burton Casting.
The cast for the production will be announced soon.
