Full cast announced for THE ENORMOUS CROCODILE's return to the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre

The wickedly funny family musical, based on Roald Dahl's beloved children's book, will return to the Regent's Park Open Theatre in August after its successful run last summer and its premiere at Leeds Playhouse in 2023.

Leading the production as The Enormous Crocodile will be Taya Ming (Much Ado About Nothing, RSC), with Nia Stephen (&Juliet, UK Tour) as Trunky the Elephant, Ryan Crellin-Simpson (The Elephant in the Room, Waterloo East Theatre) as Humpy Rumpy the Hippopotamus, Alison Arnopp (The Magician's Elephant, RSC) as Roly Poly Bird, Siobhan Athwal (EastEnders) as Muggle Wump the Monkey and Eleanor Ambekar who makes her professional debut as Swing.

From the book by Roald Dahl, The Enormous Crocodile follows a greedy crocodile who devises secret plans to eat children. As he travels through the jungle boasting about his intentions, other animals warn him to stop, but he refuses to listen. In the end, his wickedness leads to a surprising and satisfying comeuppance.

With show-tapping tunes by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, and additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady. Developed and directed by Emily Lim, The Enormous Crocodile features puppets by co-director and puppetry designer Toby Olié, with set and costume design by Fly Davis and puppetry co-designed and supervised by Daisy Beattie.

As one of the best family shows in London to experience this summer, The Enormous Crocodile will play at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre from 15 August to 7 September 2025.
