Returning to London for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic closed the West End production at the Adelphi Theatre, Waitress The Musical begins a new UK and Ireland tour starting in March.
Carrie Hope Fletcher, Evelyn Hoskins, Sandraw Marvin and Les Dennis. Headshots provided by production.
Based on the 2007 film, Waitress celebrates friendship, motherhood, and the power of a well-baked pie. It is the story of a small-town pie-maker who finds themselves stuck in a loveless marriage. A baking contest and a friendship with a charming doctor might offer Jenna a ticket to a new life, if she can find the courage and strength to take it, with the support and encouragement of her fellow waitresses.
Directed by Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland, Witness Uganda), with a book by Jessie Nelson (Corrina, Corrina, I Am Sam) and music and lyrics by Grammy award-winner Sara Bareilles, this joyful, romantic musical first opened in the West End in 2019, earning critical acclaim and global success.
Award-winning actress Carrie Hope Fletcher will lead the show as Jenna for a limited run. No stranger to the West End, she has starred in such productions as Les Misérables, Heathers, and, most recently, spent the festive season starring in Elf the Musical at the Aldwych Theatre.
She will be joined by Evelyn Hoskins (42 Balloons, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre) and Sandra Marvin (Fat Ham, The RSC) who reprise their roles of Dawn and Becky. Les Dennis will join the tour as Joe.
Waitress will begin its tour in London at the New Wimbledon Theatre on March 28th 2026.
