Blending American songwriting traditions, Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown takes audiences on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back. The production intertwines two mythic love stories - that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. The production returned to London in 2024, five years after its sold-out engagement at the National Theatre in 2018 and a run on Broadway.
The production continues to play at the Lyric Theatre, where it extends its run to September 2026.
