The musical, based on Alexandra Shiva's documentary, officially opened on Broadway in November 2023 and recently closed at the Belasco Theatre on 11 February.

How to Dance in Ohio follows three autistic teenagers as they prepare for a spring formal dance. The story delves into their personal struggles, growth, and the support they receive from their families and therapists. Through their journey, the musical highlights themes of self-discovery, acceptance, and the challenges of navigating social situations.
