A brand new play, Hit Machine, will have its premiere at Soho Theatre in London this summer, with screen stars Josh Radnor and Noah Galvin making their highly anticipated West End debuts.

Written by Jonathan Caren (The Recommendation) and directed by former Bush Theatre Associate Artistic Director Daniel Bailey (Red Pitch), Hit Machine follows two estranged brothers, one a record mogul and the other a struggling musician. An emotionally charged collision brings them back into each other's lives, and the pair are unwillingly forced into a desperate collaboration, bound by a bruised childhood and divided by their differing levels of success. This explosive play explores themes of brotherhood and male violence, creative theft, and the cost of turning personal pain into art.

Hit Machine will star Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother) and Noah Galvin (Dear Evan Hansen) in the lead roles, and will feature original music by three-time Grammy Award-winner Ben Harper. The play was a finalist for the Eugene O’Neill 2025 National Playwrights Conference and was featured in IAMA’s New Works Fest and The Working Theater’s Stage Left Festival.

Caren said, "While the play is about songwriting, it is also about the ways men handle shame, or even build entire identities around it.

Hit Machine will run at Soho Theatre from 9 July to 15 August 2026.
