Co-written by Jack Holden (Cruise) and Ed Stambollouian (Animal Farm, Royal & Derngate). The show features a live soundtrack by the award-winning composer and musician John Patrick Elliott.
Kenrex is set in 1981, Missouri, and follows a true story of a community taking back control. The smalltown bully, Ken Rex McElroy, rules Skidmore with an iron fist. For ten years, his reign of terror has involved theft, intimidation, assault, abduction and attempted murder. But when he shoots greengrocer Bo Bowenkamp, a pillar of the community whom he leaves for dead, the good people of Skidmore decide that enough is enough, and if the courts aren't going to bring Ken to heel, they will.
Jack Holden performs the one-show show, accompanied on stage by John Patrick Elliott and directed by Ed Stambollouian.
The creative team includes sound design by Giles Thomas, movement direction by Sarah Golding and production management by James Anderton.
Kenrex will play at The Other Palace from 3 December 2025 to 1 February 2026.
