What is Kenrex about?

1981, Missouri. Ken Rex McElroy rules the small town of Skidmore with an iron fist, committing theft, assault, and even attempted murder without seeing a single night behind bars, thanks to his equally corrupt defence attorney. But when he shoots the beloved and upstanding greengrocer Bo Bowenkamp, the people of Skidmore decide to come together to end his reign of terror, even if it means taking the law into their own hands.

Written by Jack Holden and Ed Stambollouian, Kenrex returns for a second London season after an acclaimed run at Sheffield Theatre, where it was praised as “a spell-binding amalgam of Under Milk Wood, Bonnie and Clyde and a more democratic version of Gunfight at the OK Corral”.
