Cast change for Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre

Matilda Brand new leading cast members have been announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's smash-hit stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved book, Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre.

Miria Parvin will take on the role of Miss Honey, Rebecca Thornhill will play Mrs Wormwood and Michael Bagley will play Mr Wormwood, the trio of West End regulars will be join by three new stars-in-the-making taking on the role the naughty girl with a heart of gold, Matilda Wormwood. Lara McDonnell, Anna-Louise Knight, Lizzie Wells and Evie Hone will rotate the highly sought-after role.

Miria Parvin recently stared in Once at the Phoenix Theatre and has also appeared in Footloose and Starlight Express in the West End.

Olivier Award nominee Rebecca Thornhill stared in Tim Rice’s new musical From Here To Eternity at the Shaftsbury Theatre, it was this stellar performance that saw her receive the coveted nod.

Michael Bagley was last seen in the West End in Tennessee William’s Sweet Bird of Youth at the Old Vic Theatre. He has also appeared in After Electra at the Theatre Royal Plymouth and If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet at the Bush Theatre.

Starting in early September 2015, the new intake will join the current cast of Craige Els, Charlotte Scott, John Brannoch, Fabian Aloise, Kate Kenrick, Biancha Szynal, Will Hawksworth, Robbie Boyle, Matt Serafini, Jonathan Cordin, Oliver Brooks, Sharlene Whyte, Demi Goodman, Rachel Moran, Laura Tyrer, Olly Dobson, Tom Muggeridge and Elliot Harper

Matilda the Musical is currently booking at the Cambridge Theatre until May 2016.
