New children announced for West End production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL

New young performers will be welcomed to the multi-award-winning production of Matilda the Musical, which is now in its 15th year at the Cambridge Theatre.

Seen by over 12 million people in over 100 cities worldwide, the stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's beloved story follows a brilliant young girl with extraordinary abilities. The musical features music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2010, and moved to the West End in 2011. Matilda The Musical is an international hit, with over 101 awards obtained, including 25 for Best Musical.

Sithuni Gamage, Bonnie Harper and Carla Lopez-Corpas will join Emilia Shefford in the title role of Matilda from 17 March 2026.

The other young performers announced today, joining the London company in the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Nigel and the rest of the pupils at Crunchem Hall are: Zoe Akinyosade, Oliver Alexandru, Felix Anderson, Mary Bassey Bassey, Amelie Bibani, Nathan Cooper, Alejandro García-Pérez, Ryan Hayter, Sebastian Tay Hilas, Eira Kay, Esmaé Kevany, Ivy-Rose Mann, Karin Narumi, Lucas Moy, Alexzander Neophytou, Jessica Rihanna Mocanu,
Eden Rowe, Lucy Sheppard, Samuel Sturge and Henry Treharne.

These new performers join the existing young cast: Sid Boyle, Kanaho Kurihara, Albie Lambert, Savannah McDowell and Mason Mingle.

The adult cast for the production includes Jon Robyns as Miss Trunchball, alongside Tiffany Graves (Mrs Wormwood), Neil McDermott (Mr Wormwood), and Eve Norris (Miss Honey). Existing ensemble members, including Reece Budin, William Elijah-Lewis, Alex Louize Bird, and Dawn Williams, will be joined by Kofi Aidoo-Appiah, Naomi Alade, Katie Bradley, Millie Brown-Thornton, Antony Lawrence, Nick Len, Tania Mathurin, Ben Middleton, James Oliver, Stuart Rouse, Chloe Saunders, and Callum Train, who continue in the show.
