Ok, it's not strictly theatre news but it's performing arts related and I'd like to share it with you so you too can share this glorious reminder of the power of song.
Camilla Farrant, the Head Music Therapist & Choir Director of Music Therapy Tree (http://www.musictherapytree.org.uk) writes -
Dear Phil, We are a choir of adults with a learning disability and autism based in North London. Many of our members cannot access the internet, so we made home visits to record them singing Hey Jude at their doorsteps to feel connected again! We wanted to make sure you get to see the inclusive Sing Out Choir’s lockdown video.
I must confess I was a blubbering wreck by the end of it - what a beautiful thing to do and what a pertinent reminder of our neighbours who so easily get forgotten.
So far they've only had 325 views, let's get that up into the thousands. Click, watch, like, share.
