Award-winning writer Alice Birch's new play will debut at the Almeida Theatre, with a limited run planned from September.

Directed by Sam Pritchard, the cast will feature Declan Conlon (Faith Healer, Lyric Hammersmith), Yanexi Enriquez (Ballet Shoes, National Theatre), Olivier Huband (Much Ado About Nothing, RSC), Oliver Johnstone (Retrograde, West End), Jerry Killick (The Confessions, National Theatre), Adelle Leonce (A Child of Science, Bristol Old Vic), Agnes O’Casey (The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, Chichester Festival Theatre) and Stuart Thompson (Radiant Boy, Southwark Playhouse).

Romans: A novel is a monumental, kaleidoscopic portrait of masculinity from the nineteenth century to the present day. The new play will explore how male narratives have shaped the world we know.
It will play at Almeida Theatre from 9 September to 11 October 2025.
