The multi award-winning comedian Romesh Ranganathan will make his West End debut in the role of Bill alongside the previously announced Sheridan Smith as Susan.

Louise Brealey (Harry Potter, HBO) joins them as Muriel, Tim McMullan (Antony and Cleopatra) as Gerald, Sule Rimi (Fat Ham, The RSC) as Andy, Chris Jenks (Anna Karenina, Sheffield Crucible) as Tony, Safia Oakley-Green (The Bluff, Amazon) as Lucy and Taylor Uttley (Leglock, Edinburgh Fringe) as Rick, and Katie Buchholz (If We Were Older, National Theatre) and Michael Woolfitt, who complete the company.

This upcoming spellbinding revival of Woman in Mind explores one woman’s fractured reality with heart and humour. When Susan sustains a bump to the head, her world splits in two—one mundane, one imagined—and the lines begin to blur. Ayckbourn’s groundbreaking play is a gripping exploration of identity, family, and mental escape.

Once the run in the West End is completed in February 2026, the production will play at the Sunderland Empire and Theatre Royal, Glasgow.

Completing the creative team is set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Lee Curran, sound design by Paul Arditti and casting by Jim Carnahan CSA and Liz Fraser CSA.

Woman in Mind plays at the Duke of York's Theatre from 9 December 2025 to 28 February 2026. It will follow Stereophonic, the Tony Award-winning production, which runs through to 22 November.
