What is DR. STRANGELOVE about?
DR. STRANGELOVE was one of the fiercest satires of human folly that ever came out of Hollywood, released in 1964. The landmark Cold War farce centres on a rogue U.S. General who triggers a nuclear crisis at the height of Cold War tensions and a group of political officials are desperately trying to avoid Armageddon.
Stanley Kubrick was a successful comedy although it was originally intended this film to be a straight adaptation of Red Alert, a novel by Peter George.
