The cast has been announced for the final production of the 10th Anniversary Sam Wanamaker Playhouse season, THE DUCHESS OF MALFI. John Webster's seminal revenge tragedy begins performances next month.

The full has been announced for THE DUCHESS OF MALIF which will perform at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 17 February - 14 April.

This production will mark award-winning director Rachel Bagshaw's (Midnight Movie, Royal Court) makes her Globe directorial debut with this ground-breaking anniversary production which uses creative captioning throughout each performance.

Performing in London's only indoor candlelight theatre, THE DUCHESS OF MALIF tells the story of a forbidden marriage, a hidden family, and a dangerous web of secrets and lies.

What is THE DUCHESS OF MALIF about?

Focusing on the recently widowed Duchess who falls in love with her steward, Antonio. Eager to keep her under their control, her brothers warn her not to remarry. But some things are worth fighting and lying for.

THE DUCHESS OF MALIF is set in a rigid, male-dominated world where a woman has to go to desperate measures to protect those she loves the most.
