The UK premiere of Anna Ziegler's acclaimed play will take place at the Off-West End venue this Autumn, following a sold-out, critically acclaimed Off-Broadway run in New York.
Artwork for The Wanderers.
The Wanderers is inspired by real events and will be directed by Igor Golyak.
As previously announced, Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia) will star as Julia, alongside Katerina Tannenbaum (Netflix’s AJ and the Queen) as Esther and Paksie Vernon (People Places and Things, Trafalgar Studios) as Sophie. They will be joined by Alexander Forsyth (Casualty) who will feature as Abe, and Eddie Toll (World War Z) as Schmuli.
The Wanderers weaves together two narratives. In one, Abe, a successful novelist, finds his marriage to fellow writer Sophie strained by personal disappointment and unspoken tensions. On the other hand is Esther and Schmuli, a young Orthodox couple in an arranged marriage.
It will play at the Marylebone Theatre from 17 October to 29 November.
