From the director of the Olivier and Tony Award-winning Leopoldstadt, and the producers of 2023's The White Factory, What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank will open at the Marylebone Theatre on 4 October 2024.
Big Bang Theory star Joshua Malina will make his London debut in the new play as Phil. What We Talk About When Talk About Anne Frank revolves around two Jewish couples who converse about faith, identity, and the Holocaust over an afternoon. As they drink and discuss their beliefs and experiences, the conversation turns to the idea of what they would do if they were in a situation similar to Anne Frank's, pondering whether they would hide their friends and how their faith shapes their decisions and moral compass.
Director Patrick Marber will be joined by designer Anna Fleischle and sound designer David Gregory.
What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank will play at the Marylebone Theatre from 4 October - 23 November 2024.

Heading to the London stage later this year, this play uses a mix of humour, irony, and poignant moments to illustrate the varied experiences of contemporary Jewish characters. A fantastic new piece of theatre awaits us in the Autumn.
