Mark Gatiss' adaptation of A Christmas Carol returns to London for Christmas 2025

The acclaimed retelling of Charles Dickens's beloved tale is currently playing at the Birmingham Rep this festive season, starring Matthew Cottle as Scrooge.

Mark Gatiss' A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story will return to London for a third Christmas Season in 2025.
The production, which is filled with Dickensian, spine-tingling special effects will frighten and delight audiences in equal measures. Directed by Adam Penford, Mark Gatiss' A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story first premiered at Nottingham Playhouse in 2021 before transferring to London's Alexandra Palace Theatre. The production was then released in a filmed version in UK cinemas in 2022 and shown on BBC4 over the Christmas period. It has since returned to both Nottingham Playhouse and Alexandra Palace in 2023.
Full casting is to be announced in due course.
Mark Gatiss' A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story will run at the Alexandra Palace from 22 November - 4 January 2026.
