Following its critically acclaimed runs at Sheffield Theatres and Lyric Hammersmith, ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST is getting a West End transfer for a limited run.
Arriving this summer, the production will open at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 12 June.
BAFTA award-winning actor Daniel Rigby and Tony Gardner are both reprising their roles for the production, with further casting and creatives to be announced.
Daniel Rigby will reprise his role in Accidental Death of an Anarchist
Directed by Daniel Raggett, the classic story of Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Dario Fo and Franca Rame has been adapated and updated by Tom Basden (Plebs)
Taking ruthless aim at the UK's police force when the Met's reputation is in tatters, Accidental Death of an Anarchist follows the events after an anarchist falls to his death from a police station window. But the question is: did he jump or was he thrown?
As the police attempt to avoid yet another scandal, a mysterious imposter is arrested and brought in for questioning. Seizing the chance to put on a show, he leads the officers in an ever more ridiculous reconstruction of their official account, hilariously exposing the cover-ups, corruption and profound idiocy at the heart of the police.
