Written by Justin Audibert and directed by Robin Belfield, Anansi the Spider brings to life classic West African and Caribbean folktales with jaw-dropping puppetry and imaginative storytelling. Step into a time long ago when animals walked on two feet and spoke with words. The most famous and cleverest of the animals in the kingdom is Anansi the spider, a trickster and spinner of yarns who can sometimes be too clever for his own good.

The cast includes Cynthia Emeagi (Narrator 1), Elizabeth Peace (Narrator 3), Becky Sanneh (Narrator 2), and Mira Morrison (Understudy). In the creative team is Sadeysa Greenaway-Bailey (Designer); Asha Jennings-Grant (Movement Director); Esther Kehinde Ajayi (Sound Designer); Duramaney Kamara (Songs Composer); Joel Trill (Voice and Dialect Coach); Delyth Evans (Associate Designer).

The perfect summer activity for families, it's designed for children aged four and upwards, and will take place on the theatre lawn.

Anansi the Spider will play from 15 August to 6 September, with a press performance on Tuesday 18 August, 2pm.
