About the Peacock Theatre

The Peacock Theatre seats 999 people. It’s owned by the London School of Economics and Political Science, and forms part of the organisation’s campus. They use it for lectures, public talks, conferences, political speeches, and open days. Past shows at the Peacock Theatre include ballets, concerts, and dance performances. This place is, apparently, haunted by a dolphin left neglected in a tank in the theatre basement during the 1970s. Thankfully the story isn’t true – both dolphins, Pennie and Pixie, were safely relocated to a dolphinarium and neither died at the venue.
