Cast and creative team announced for SHANGHAI DOLLS at Kiln Theatre

The world premiere of Amy Ng's work will be directed by Katie Posner, Joint Artistic Director of Paines Plough.

Shanghai Dolls will premiere at the Kiln Theatre from 3 April 2025.

Gabby Wong (1899 and KAOS, Netflix) and Millicent Wong (The Crucible, Sheffield Crucible) will star in the new play which shares the untold story of two of the most influential women in Chinese history during the Cultural Revolution.

The creative team of Shanghair Dolls includes Jean Chan (Designer), Aideen Malone (Lighting Designer), Nicola T Chang (Composer & Sound Designer), Akhila Krishnan (Video Designer) and Annie-Lunnette Deakin-Foster (Movement Director), Holly Ellis (Associate Lighting Designer), and Imy Wyatt Corner (Kiln-Mackintosh Resident Assistant Director).
