The cast includes Ty Fanning (Othello, Ethel Barrymore Theatre) as ‘James’, Ami Okumura Jones (My Neighbour Totoro, Barbican; Hostage on Netflix) as ‘Lou’, Kirsty Bushell (BBC, Motherland; King Lear, Chichester Festival Theatre) as ‘Etheline Cotgrave’ and welcomes the return of Pippa Winslow in her role as ‘Carolanne’ following her celebrated runs in the Leeds Playhouse and first West End season.
Based on the popular horror film franchise created by Oren Peli, Paranormal Activity follows American couple James and Lou, who move to London to escape their past but find that their new home is haunted by terrifying forces that seek to prey on their deepest fears and darkest truths. The couple sets up a video camera to try and discover what's tormenting them, but the entities in their home are too powerful and incomprehensible to be defeated so easily. This spine-tingling show is directed by immersive theatre pioneer and Punchdrunk’s Founder and Artistic Director Felix Barrett and written by playwright Levi Holloway.
Following its original run at Leeds Playhouse and its first West End engagement at the Ambassadors Theatre from 5 December 2025 to 25 April 2026, Paranormal Activity began a North American tour last autumn. It is also due to embark on a 20-week Broadway season in August 2026.
Paranormal Activity will reopen at the Ambassadors Theatre on 11 August 2026, and will run until 7 November 2026.
