What is Paranormal Activity about?

American couple James and Lou move to London to escape their past but find that their new home is haunted by terrifying forces that seek to prey on their deepest fears and darkest truths. The couple sets up a video camera to try and discover what's tormenting them, but the entities in their home are too powerful and incomprehensible to be defeated so easily.

The play is based on the globally acclaimed film franchise created by Oren Peli. The films quickly gained popularity for the way they combined the psychological dread of human trauma with the horror of malicious supernatural entities. First performed at the Leeds Playhouse last summer, this spine-tingling stage adaptation will transfer to the West End this winter. Written by Levi Holloway (Grey House) and directed by Punchdrunk's Felix Barrett, this retelling will combine the atmospheric dread of the film series with the intimacy of a theatre setting, mixing psychological horror with immersive theatricality.
