The son of Zeus, Hercules is sent down to earth from Olympus as a baby, where he grows up among mortals. Along his journey to becoming a true hero, he trains under the satyr Philoctetes, falls in love with the beautiful but troubled Megara, and faces a whole host of monsters, while his wicked uncle Hades plots to overthrow the rule of Zeus. The musical opened at Theatre Royal Drury Lane last summer, going on to be nominated for three WhatsOnStage Awards including for Best New Musical. It features beloved songs from the original film, such as 'Go the Distance' and 'I Won't Say I'm in Love', as well as several new ones written for the musical.
Hercules recently announced its final extension, and will complete its run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 5th September 2026.
