Disney's Hercules Musical in London
Disney’s Hercules is on stage in the West End stage in a thrilling musical adaptation inspired by the animated movie, which was based on the ancient myth. The Greek gods would be delighted by this big, bold, hilarious family favourite, and so will you. Grab tickets to brighten up your 2025.
Disney’s Hercules - the story
Roll back time to Ancient Greece when the old gods ruled from their seats high up on Mount Olympus. Hercules isn’t a god or a human, he’s an uncomfortable mix of the two, a demi-god who never quite belongs. The world must be saved from evil Hades but can Hercules succeed? He might have almighty muscles but as it turns out, it takes more than a set of impressive pecs to go from zero to hero.
About Disney’s Hercules
Hercules is inspired by Disney’s 1997 worldwide hit animation, directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. The musical has been underway for years, first announced in 2017 by Alan Menken, creator of the music for the stage version of the story. The show is stacked with beloved tunes from the movie including Go The Distance, which was nominated for 1998’s Academy Award for Best Original Song, From Zero to Hero, and I Won’t Say I’m in Love, along with new tunes specially written for the stage.
Disney’s Hercules cast and creative team
This magical adventure stars Luke Brady (The Prince of Egypt at the Dominion Theatre, As You Like It with the RSC and more) in the lead role.
The adaptation by the Olivier Award nominee Kwame Kwei-Armah and Tony Award winner Robert Horn makes the show extra-special. The uplifting score is by Alan Menken and David Zippel, along with excellent direction from Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Disney’s Aladdin, Mean Girls, The Book of Mormon), who also choreographs along with Tanisha Scott.
The set and additional video design is by Dane Laffrey and the costume design by Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser. The lighting designer is Jeff Croiter and the sound designer Adam Fisher. Video designer George Reeve, hair designer Mia M. Neal, make-up artist Kirk Cambridge-Del Pesche and special effects guru from Jeremy Chernick join music supervisor and arranger Michael Kosarin.
The orchestrations come from Danny Troob and Joseph Joubert, plus dance arrangements by David Chase. The casting is by Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.
This wonderful story will add magic to your next family West End theatre experience.

I was in row E in Stalls with two kids 7 and 5. It was a bit of a struggle for them to see even with bumper cushions.

Amazing show - loved every second! This show is a fast moving, funny, emotional tribute to a great story. The music is fabulous and the dancing is great - loved seeing a tap routine. The costumes were amazing - I couldn’t believe how many changes there were. I loved the puppetry, staging and although all the characters were brilliant- the muse stole the show - it was a little like watching a muse concert with a story! Excellent sound quality and lighting design.

Apart from the extreme volume - very humerous, very nice vocals!Great experience, definitely worth the travel! All in all decent acting, exceptional vocals, the group dances were beautifully choreographed showdances! Great music, the band did a horrendous job ❤️ I'd suggest to bring earplugs to be safe - the volume was far too high and made it hard to enjoy in the beginning. With earplugs in it was fine.
