The stage adaptation of Maggie O'Farrell's bestselling novel must end at the Garrick Theatre on 17 February 2024.
Set in Warwickshire in 1582, HAMNET tells the story of Anne Hathaway and William Shakespeare. We see how the natural healer and Latin tutor create a life together and make a family. Whilst William moves to London to seek his place in the world of theatre, Anne stays at home to raise their three children. When the plague steals 11-year-old Hamnet from his loving parents, the two must confront their loss alone. What emerges from their great suffering is something extraordinary.
